Olympics and the Individual Event
I don't know about your house but ours has been filled with Olympic Fever. 7 pm rolls around and we are all glued to the T.V., even Jenna. When anything water related comes on she points to the T.V. and yells, "Michael Phelps, Michael Phelps, " while simultaneously jumping up and down on the couch. It doesn't have to be swimming or even a male athlete. If there is water involved, even though its a woman diver from China, it's Michael Phelps and she's excited.
As for Eric, he's too busy participating in his own Olympic endeavors to watch those on T.V. He's decided to focus all his attention to the crawling event. On Sunday he began to crawl and he hasn't stopped. Luckily for me he's stuck to one room and hasn't realized that if he just kept going the world would continue to open up to him. But he's been too busy with the cabinet doors and power cords to worry about such things. . .yet. It's such an exciting thing to watch your child learn to crawl. We were all on the floor cheering him on. Then I heard this little voice in the back of my mind reminding me that if I continue to encourage this behavior my life is going to get complicated fast. Oh well, I guess it's time to baby proof again.
